Fall Tuesday Zoom group classes and Sonora Fridays are off to a solid start. Thank you to all of the families participating. Thank you to our faculty for working to adjust to Zoom teaching and keep classes relevant, positive and engaging.
This September we added a new faculty member Shannon Farley . Shannon is teaching our Kenneth Kafui group class.
What are some of the components for our SSM group classes this semester ?
Suzuki group classes will include : repertoire review , violin technique, music theory and music history and the addition of non- Suzuki repertoire Music by Black Composers series , a collection of diverse compositions edited and compiled by the Rachel Barton Pine Foundation. The collection features works by Black composers, both men and women. Geographically the composers come from North America, South America, the Caribbean, Europe and Africa and span from the 1700s to the present.
