Open House on April 25th–help us spread the word!

Hope everyone had a restful spring break!  We look forward to seeing you back at MyArts on Tuesday for group classes.

April 18th is our Danish String Quartet field trip!  Please wear your SSM/MCE T-shirts.  The only classes held at MyArts on the 18th will be Music and Movement and Pre-Twinkle/Early Book 1 Violin and Cello.

Calendar update: there will be no play-in on April 25th.  We’ll be holding regular group classes that day to prepare for our spring concert.

You can find the May 20th Spring Concert handout here!  This document has information on rehearsal times, concert dress and repertoire.

SSM and MCE Bach Around the Clock performances are available for viewing–click here for violins and here for cellos.

FFF (Fantastic Folk and Fiddle) is now open for registration!  This event occurs August 2-5th, and is for students ages 10-18 (registration for  children under 10 with teacher recommendation). Young musicians of all levels of experience will have the opportunity to learn new styles of music through large and small group classes with expert instructors, culminating in a final performance at the Sugar Maple Music Festival! Free Sugar Maple Music Festival passes are included for workshop participants and their guardians.  Click here to register!

Plan your musical summer!  Info on Suzuki Summer Institutes here.

Help us spread the word!  SSM/MCE will be hosting an Open House on April 25th from 4:30-7.  Invite your friends and neighbors to join us and see what Suzuki Strings is all about!

Come join your SSM/MCE friends on June 16th for a special event at the duck pond!  This is a non-profit night benefiting Suzuki Strings, and we’ll get a portion of each ticket we sell.  In addition to playing the national anthem, there will be a 50-50 raffle (also benefiting SSM), and a Suzuki Strings promo table.  Click here to reserve your ticket–and please share widely with your friends and family!

Cellists–free classes are available through Cello Kids!  CelloKids classes utilize a unique curriculum that fuses the Dalcroze Method with musicianship on the cello.  Classes are free for participants ($5 for observers).  Click here to find out more and sign-up!
