Welcome Back, Suzuki Strings! -

Hope everyone is enjoying the last couple weeks of summer! We’re so looking forward to seeing everyone back at MyArts on September 12th for a wonderful year of strings programming. This email contains lots of information for the start of our 2023-2024 year–below is information about violin and cello class schedules, 2023-2024 tuition, registration process and discounted tickets for our fall field trip to Sheki Kanneh-Mason. SEMESTER SCHEDULE

Our Fall Semester runs September 12- December 12.

Violin and Cello group classes will take place on:

September 12, 19

October 3, 10, 17

November 7, 14, 21

December 5

There is NO class on 10/31 (Halloween!)

Violin and Cello Play-ins will occur:

September 26 (followed by our beginning of the year social, featuring pizza and an ice cream bar!)

October 24

November 28

December 12

Cellos will have a dress rehearsal on December 17th at MYArts Main Stage Theater. Solstice Concert featuring cellos and string ensemble will take place on December 21st.

REGISTRATION

We have two options for registration this year! You have the option to register online or in-person at MyArts on the first two Tuesdays of the Semester (September 12th and 19th). Click below to register your student! *PLEASE NOTE–our online store is not yet open for payments. Payments can be made in-person at MyArts on September 12th or 19th, or via the website–we’ll let you know when the store is up and running!

Pre-Twinkle, Books 1-5: $260 Second child: $230

String Ensemble only: $260

String ensemble add-on: add $180 to violin class price

Sonora: $380 Sonora additional child: $350

Cello:

Pre-Twinkle: $240

Cello 1: $260

Cello Ensemble 1: $275

Cello Ensemble 2: $300

Cello Ensemble 3: $410

SSM/MCE Field Trip to Sheku Kanneh-Mason at UW Union Theater

We’re looking forward to our fall field trip to Sheku Kanneh-Mason on November 3rd at 7:30. This concert will take place at Shannon Hall in the Memorial Union as a part of the Wisconsin Union Theater’s Classical Series.

Suzuki parents will be able to access $15 tickets and Suzuki students $10 tickets in the lower price level. Please feel free to share and invite friends and family!
