Sonora Holiday Cookie Sale

It’s time to order delicious holiday cookies and support Sonora!  They will be selling handmade cookies in a decorative bag for $10/dozen.  Order deadline is 12/5, pick-up at MyArts is 12/12.  You can pay in advance or at pick-up via PayPal, check or cash.  Click here to download the order form, and see the flier below for details.  Please email the completed form to mollydaypeterson@gmail.com.

Upcoming Viola Performance

December 17th–Violas at the Madison Children’s Museum, 3:15pm. Come enjoy the rich and festive sounds of the violas of Suzuki Strings of Madison as they present holiday and classical favorites.

December 2nd – Enchanted Valley Christmas Tree Farm, 3pm-5pm.  Playback and bucking!
December 8th – Community Service, Oak Park Senior Center 2pm -4pm. RSVP to Beth by December 2nd.
December 16th – Great Wolf Lodge 2:30 call, 3:15 perform, 4:00 watch violins; 4:45 -8:30 Swim party. Must RSVP to Beth by December 2nd.

Winter Solstice Concert

Please join for MCE’s Winter Solstice concert on Thursday, December 21st at MyArts!  A reception and door prizes will begin at 5 in the MyArts 4th floor atrium, followed by music at 7.  Admission is by donation.  See the flier below for more details!  Pizza orders for families will come out December 5th and be due December 15th.  Pizza will be served at 5:45 on 12/21.

ALL MCE members are encouraged to contribute to the fundraiser! Door prize donations should be delivered to MYArts or Beth’s house (2202 Van Hise) by December 19th.

Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is holding their annual Bach Double Competition!  This is open to students 8th grade and younger.  For audition details, click here.

Great Wolf Holiday Event

Sonora, Book 4/5 violins and selected Madison cello ensemble students are invited to play and splash at Great Wolf Lodge on Saturday, December 16th.  MCE performs from 3:15-4,  Sonora and Books 4/5 perform 4-4:45.  Sign-up is required, email Diana at dvpopowycz@gmail.com.  Please see flier below for details!

 

Holiday Hot Chocolate Social

Join us after the play-in on December 12th for a Holiday Hot Chocolate Social!  We’ll have hot cocoa and fun toppings available to purchase for $3 a cup.
