Solstice Benefit Concert and Pizza Ordering

All SSM families are invited to celebrate with the MCE,  Sonora members,  SSM violas and String Orchestra at the 23rd Annual Madison Cello Ensemble’s Solstice Benefit Concert.  Support and cheer on our young musicians giving back to their community! Join the reception featuring door prizes, followed by a concert featuring a holiday sing and the powerful Vivaldi Double with over 20 celli and Sonora! Order pizza in advance.

Reception and door prizes will begin at 5 in the MyArts 4th floor atrium, followed by music at 7.  Admission is by donation.  See the flier below for more details.

Pizza orders for families will be due December 15th.   Pizza will be served at 5:45 on 12/21.  PIZZA ORDER FORMS CAN BE FOUND HERE.

ALL MCE members are encouraged to contribute to the fundraiser! Door prize donations should be delivered to MYArts or Beth’s house (2202 Van Hise) by December 19th.

Thursday, December 21st–Winter Solstice Reception and Benefit
5pm Call Time–Tune and warm up is in the Starlight Theater all cellists, violas and violins.

Books 1-3 Rehearsal

This Tuesday (12/12) Books 1-3 have a rehearsal in 4D.  All other violin classes meet at scheduled times.

Hot Chocolate Social this Tuesday!

Drop by the 4th floor for a Hot Chocolate Social!  We’ll be serving hot chocolate with lots of goodies from 5-7pm.  $3 a cup, payment via Credit Card, cash or Paypal.

Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is holding their annual Bach Double Competition!  This is open to students 8th grade and younger.  For audition details, click here.

Great Wolf Holiday Event

Sonora, Book 4/5 violins and selected Madison cello ensemble students are invited to play and splash at Great Wolf Lodge on Saturday, December 16th.  MCE performs from 3:15-4,  Sonora and Books 4/5 perform 4-4:45.  Email Diana or Beth with questions.   Please see flier below for details!

Holiday Hot Chocolate Social

Join us after the play-in on December 12th for a Holiday Hot Chocolate Social!  We’ll have hot cocoa and fun toppings available to purchase for $3 a cup.

Join SSM students at the Curious Crafter on Tuesday, December 10th from 4:30-6:30 (PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A NEW DATE AND TIME THAN PREVIOUSLY LISTED).  Participants will make a personalized name tag and have hot cocoa!  See the flier below for pricing and RSVP details.
