Summer Practice
Diana has some words of wisdom regarding summer practicing! Read below and CLICK HERE and HERE for helpful practicing tips.
Dear SSM families,
Hoping your summer days have been filled with some leisure activities and fun in the sun . I know I am enjoying the out of doors and freer schedule that summer affords me. Whether it’s slower paced days or holiday travel, the change from a school practice routine provides opportunities of creating unique ways of approaching summer practice.
Some of you may be preparing for music camps or have already attended them. Ride that wave of motivation you got there. Some of you are in weekly private lessons that help to structure your practice week. Some of you may have given yourself a little break from a practice schedule.
If you’re looking for a little help in getting that violin or viola case opened and that bow rosined, please take a look at the two articles in this post we have for you.
Perhaps, you can decide on designated days of practice and streamline your focus: just review, work on sight-reading skills , listen to lots of music be it your Suzuki recordings or anything that inspires …. You choose your musical adventure !
We are 60 days out from our first group class at Suzuki Strings of Madison and are looking forward to hearing the MYArts classrooms filled with the sound of violins on Tuesdays. See you then ! We have been busy planning loads of family musical activities for you to support your journey with SSM. Stay tuned for updates on SSM events to add to your calendar this year.
With a twinkling spirit,
Diana
