Hope you all are doing well as we approach this busy season!  As you come to group classes on Tuesday, please wish Julio a fond farewell.  He has been a steady presence at the MYArts front desk for years, and he is leaving for a full time job.  We’ll miss him!

Sonora Holiday Cookie Orders

Cookie ordering time is here!  Sonora will be baking and packing holiday cookies as a fundraiser for their upcoming San Diego tour!

One Dozen: $10 Two Dozen: $18

Cookie Orders Due Tuesday, December 10th.  Cookies will be available for pick-up at MYArts on Tuesday, December 17th.  Payment is due at pick-up via cash or card.

Save the Date–Saturday, February 15th

SSM is excited to bring back the barn dance!  SSM students will perform fiddling tunes, followed by community dancing with a bluegrass band and caller.  Students will be working on fiddling tunes in group classes to prepare for this event. Saturday February 15, Goodman Community Center (214 Waubesa St, Madison). Fiddling and Dancing 4-6PM (open to the public).  Potluck 6-8PM (SSM students and families.)

Overture Center Community Ticket Program

Suzuki Strings takes part in Overture Center’s Community Ticket program.  The Community Ticket Program helps ensure that all people, regardless of economic ability, have access to the performing arts. Through partnerships with more than 100 local social services organizations, the program reaches families throughout Dane County that are able to receive tickets for $3, and Broadway shows are $4.25.  Occasionally we will be offered tickets for certain shows, and I’ll post them here.  The promo code for the concerts is SUZUKI.

Tickets will be available for purchase starting on Tuesday, December 3rd.

Kanopy Dance – Winter Fantasia. 15 tickets per show, 3 tickets per patron, no seat restrictions. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Thursday, December 5th – 7:00pm, Sunday, December 8th – 3:00pm

Four Seasons Theatre – All is Calm. 20 tickets per show, 4 tickets per patron, orchestra side section and balcony. No one under 6, recommended for ages 12 and up. Thursday, December 5th – 7:30pm, Friday, December 6th – 7:30pm, Saturday, December 7th – 2:00pm, Sunday, December 8th – 2:00pm.

Children’s Theater of Madison – A Christmas Carol. 10 tickets per show, 2 tickets per patron, balcony only. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Saturday, December 7th – 7:00pm, Saturday, December 14th – 2:30pm, Friday, December 20th – 7:00pm.

Madison Ballet – The Nutcracker. 30 tickets per show, 5 tickets per patron, no seat restrictions. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Friday, December 13th – 7:00pm. Friday, December 20th – 1:00pm, Friday, December 20th – 7:00pm, Saturday, December 21st – 7:00pm, Sunday, December 22nd – 7:00pm.
