Tuesday, December 17th–Play-in and Hot Chocolate Social!
We will have no regular classes on Tuesday and will follow a play-in schedule. Join us at 5:30 for a Sonora mini-concert (a kick-off for their retreat in early January!) follow by a short play-in. After the play-in, we’ll have hot chocolate available for purchase in the MYArts 4th floor lobby.
Save the Date–Saturday, February 15th
SSM is excited to bring back the barn dance! SSM students will perform fiddling tunes, followed by community dancing with a bluegrass band and caller. Students will be working on fiddling tunes in group classes to prepare for this event. Saturday February 15, Goodman Community Center (214 Waubesa St, Madison). Fiddling and Dancing 4-6PM (open to the public). Potluck 6-8PM (SSM students and families.)

Overture Center Community Ticket Program
Suzuki Strings takes part in Overture Center’s Community Ticket program. The Community Ticket Program helps ensure that all people, regardless of economic ability, have access to the performing arts. Through partnerships with more than 100 local social services organizations, the program reaches families throughout Dane County that are able to receive tickets for $3, and Broadway shows are $4.25. Occasionally we will be offered tickets for certain shows, and I’ll post them here. The promo code for the concerts is SUZUKI.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting on Tuesday, December 3rd.
Children’s Theater of Madison – A Christmas Carol. 10 tickets per show, 2 tickets per patron, balcony only. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Saturday, December 7th – 7:00pm, Saturday, December 14th – 2:30pm, Friday, December 20th – 7:00pm.
Madison Ballet – The Nutcracker. 30 tickets per show, 5 tickets per patron, no seat restrictions. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Friday, December 20th – 1:00pm, Friday, December 20th – 7:00pm, Saturday, December 21st – 7:00pm, Sunday, December 22nd – 7:00pm.
