Help Make SSM’s 35th Anniversary Year Extraordinary—volunteers needed!

Dear SSM Families,

We are looking forward to an incredible year of music making—from our traditional Halloween concert at the Capitol to special events with Rachel Barton Pine, the Madison Symphony Orchestra, and our very own 35th anniversary celebration.

None of this would be possible without our talented faculty, staff, students, and families. To make this milestone year a resounding success, we need your help. Whether you can give an hour per month, per week, or even per day (can’t hurt to ask!), your contribution will help make this SSM’s most exciting year yet.

Here are three ways to get involved:

1. Join an SSM Board Committee
Estimated time: 2–4 hours per month, mostly on your own time
We’re seeking individuals who enjoy both brainstorming ideas and taking action in these areas:

  • Fundraising & Development
  • Events (35th Anniversary Celebration, Rachel Barton Pine)
  • Student Enrollment & Inclusion
  • Family Support & Engagement

2. Contribute Your Expertise
Our faculty, staff, and board are talented—but we don’t know it all! We’re forming a “brain trust” of folks with skills we can call on for advice or short one-off projects. Areas of need include:

  • Videography
  • Marketing
  • Graphic Design
  • Other talents and “superpowers”—let us know what you can share!

3. Volunteer Your Time
Sometimes, we simply need an extra set of hands to keep things running smoothly. From picking up pizza to hanging up flyers, every task taken on by a family volunteer frees up our faculty for teaching and music making.

Interested?
We’d love to hear from you! Talk to one of our board members at the Tuesday play-in and pizza party, or email us at board@suzukistringsofmadison.org.

With gratitude for your support and engagement,
Laurie Silverberg, Chair
SSM Board of Directors
